Sports Desk: Biscuit Wins the Shortest Possible Sprint
Share
Original cat comedy · Short read · Fiction
Biscuit completed the hallway sprint in an impressive burst of activity this morning. The course ran from the kitchen doorway to a point approximately halfway toward the kitchen doorway.
Officials confirmed that he had turned around very quickly.
The event began when someone opened a drawer. Biscuit accelerated, identified the drawer as unrelated to meals, and withdrew from competition on strategic grounds.
His coach, who is also Biscuit, praised the decision to conserve energy for future opportunities.
A human spectator described the performance as “What are you doing?” The Gazette has interpreted this as enthusiastic support.
There were no other entrants. This did not diminish the achievement; dominating an empty field requires the confidence to show up.
At the medal ceremony, Biscuit occupied a folded towel while the human looked for it. His victory lap consisted of rotating once before lying down.
Preparations are already underway for tomorrow’s event. The athlete’s training schedule includes recovery, additional recovery, and close observation of the correct cupboard.
