Dot reached the laundry basket spa just as the human emptied it. The heated textile treatment vanished into a wardrobe.

She stared at the basket. Its hard bottom looked nothing like the soft, layered experience advertised by yesterday’s memory.

Claude suggested a towel on the chair. Dot rejected this substitute on branding grounds. A chair towel was not a basket spa.

The human offered a clean blanket in an open cat bed nearby. Dot accepted after a brief delay designed to show that acceptance was her idea.

The treatment proved excellent. The blanket was warm from the room, the bed required no climbing, and nobody needed the contents for Monday.

Dot’s review nevertheless mentioned the unexpected closure of the original facility. Travelers deserve complete information.

The laundry basket returned to service later, filled with clothes awaiting folding. Dot watched the human carry it away without leaving the bed.

She had discovered a superior resort, although she planned to describe it as an undisclosed boutique property until further notice.
